The three-time Grammy-winning guitarist has been known to record over five-hundred studio sessions in a single year. And although much of this work might fall within the realm of popular music, he’s a consummate jazz man at heart. From his touring days with a 1970’s incarnation of the Crusaders to countless ensembles spawned in the decades hence, Carlton has remained an artist enamored with the infinite possibilities of his instrument, leaving concert-goers with the distinct impression that every live performance is a labor of love.
