Keep on Truckin’ Wednesdays

Simi Winery in Healdsburg announces its second annual food truck series. Every second and fourth Wednesday of the month from May through September, Simi Winery will host local food trucks for their weekday winery visitors during “Keep on Truckin’ Wednesdays.” Guests can enjoy a rotating selection of local street fare ranging from BBQ to Indian to delectable cupcakes, along with live music. Every month, a variety of vendors will park their trucks at Simi Winery Visitors Center and Tasting Room at 16275 Healdsburg Avenue from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm, offering hungry wine tasters a chance to enjoy a delicious and affordable snack or meal with a glass of wine.

The tasting room will offer 20% off all bottles of wine as part of the Wednesday series. A great mid-week event for locals and visitors alike, starting May 9th, guests can enjoy slow smoked meats from The Matchbox Diner, delicious comfort food from Charlie Bruno’s Chuckwagon from the popular bistro, Bruno’s on Fourth, or gourmet Indian flavors from Karma Chef. And for a special treat, satisfy your sweet tooth with a concoction from Sift Cupcakes, a recent winner of the popular show, Cupcake Wars! Other vendors will include visits from Fork Catering and Yum Yum Catering. Choose a crisp Sauvignon Blanc or elegant Pinot Noir from Simi Winery to enjoy with your meal on the outdoor deck and picnic areas or fountain-side under the Redwood trees.

With most dishes between $6.00 and $8.00, it’s easy to enjoy a fresh, affordable meal in a relaxing outdoor atmosphere. Or if you’re a Healdsburg local, make it a twice monthly summer night out!

As part of “Keep on Truckin’ Wednesdays” Simi is asking that guests bring canned goods to donate to Healdsburg Food Pantry [for more information, please visit http://www.healdsburgfoodpantry.org/]. In addition, a portion of the proceeds from these food truck sales, as well as $1.00 of every bottle sold in the Simi tasting room on the days of events, will be donated to the Redwood Empire Food Bank [for more information, please visit http://www.refb.org/].

Simi Winery “Keep on Truckin’ Wednesdays” schedule includes: May 9, 23; June 13, 27; July 11, 25; August 8, 22; and September 12, 26.

The Simi Winery Visitor Center is open daily from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. Winery tours are offered every day from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. Simi’s Landslide Terazzo Pizza Café is also open on Fridays from 12:00 to 6:00 pm and on Saturdays from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm, May through mid-October. Visit: http://www.simiwinery.com
