The Celtic Society of Monterey Bay presents an evening with Karan Casey and John Doyle at the Kuumbwa Jazz Center. This duo first gained international recognition as founding members of the influential, Grammy Award-nominated Irish band, Solas. The two would eventually leave and start their own successful solo careers. Karan Casey is often regarded as one of the finest singers Ireland has ever produced and would eventually win a Grammy Award for her collaboration with Paul Winter. John Doyle has gotten constant accolades for his guitar prowess, and was nominated for a Grammy Award for his recordings with fiddler Liz Carroll.More Info
