Join us as we watch and study performances of the Kabuki dramas "The Yamazaki Highway" and "Kampei’s Death," two famous acts from "The 47 Ronin," one of the most popular samurai revenge tales of all time! No need to have seen prior acts; these two form a self-contained story. They will be shown in Japanese with English subtitles and will be followed by a discussion.Having failed in his duty to his lord, Kampei has fled to his wife's home in the countryside. But can he escape the vicissitudes of fate, or will his life become even more tragic still?
