Join us as we study on film the Kabuki drama, "Jirozaemon and the Courtesan Yatsuhashi" (Kagotsurube), featuring an all-star cast in one the most sensational plays of late Kabuki.

Under the blooming cherry trees of the pleasure quarters, the humble, pockmarked merchant Jirozaemon falls helplessly in love with Yatsuhashi, the most popular courtesan in Edo. Can he redeem her and give her a life of happiness or will the cruel winds of fate blow them in another direction?

In Japanese with English translation. Class is free and open to the public. All ages welcome!
