Description

CELLspace presents “Juxtaposing Landscapes: Creative Transformation of Urban Decay”
Reception: Thursday Sept 6th: 7-10pm, Free
Curated by Richard Castaneda & Beth Waldman

Five local artists present a series of paintings exploring emotional, cultural and environmental landscapes to reveal how man experiences “nature” from the inside and outside. From southern China to rural Washington State, southern Peru to homelands gathered from many travels, the paintings in “Juxtaposing Landscapes: Creative Transformation of Urban Decay” reveal the hidden relationships between humans and the cosmos, architecture and possibility, degenerate values and humor, public figures and the individual.
