Description
Rising star pianist Joel Fan recently made his New York recital debut at the Metropolitan Museum. His interpretations have been called “freshly conceived and full of character” and "flamboyant" (New York Times). He has been described as “a soaring talent” and “technical wonder” (Los Angeles Times), plus a “versatile and sensitive pianist” (Washington Post). Fan's recent appearances include the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic with conductor Alan Gilbert, and the New York Philharmonic with conductor David Zinman and cellist Yo-Yo Ma. Fan is a member of Yo-Yo Ma's Silk Road Ensemble. He is making his San Francisco recital debut in one of his trademark eclectic programs featuring world and traditional music.More Info
