Description
Jerry Garcia is dead; long live Jerry Garcia. The JGB maintains the master guitarist’s legacy and has just issued an album full of Jerry’s songs. The anchor in the group is keyboardist Melvin Seals, who caught Jerry’s ear back in 1980 when he was gigging for Elvin Bishop. Seals spent nearly two decades working out on the Hammond B3 with the original Jerry Garcia Band; now he’s doing the same for the JGB Band, with some able rhythm assistance from David Kemper. The group is rounded out by Martin Holland on bass Judith Coleman and Mary Holland on vocals and Stu Allen on guitar and vocals.
