Description
Books Inc. at the Opera Plaza will be hosting a launch and reading for The University of California Book of Romantic and Postromantic Poetry, edited by Jerome Rothenberg and Jeffrey C. Robinson. Like its acclaimed twentieth-century predecessors, Poems for the Millennium, volumes 1 and 2, this gathering sets forth a globally decentered approach to the poetry of the preceding century from an experimental and visionary perspective. Joining Rothenberg and Robinson in the reading and performance are major Bay Area poets Michael McClure, Diane di Prima, Michael Palmer, Bill Berkson, Leslie Scalapino, and Jack Foley (performing with Adele Foley). The event is being introduced by Katherine Hastings, founder of the WordTemple Poetry Series and host of WordTemple on KRCB 91.1 FM, Santa Rosa's NPR affiliate.More Info
