The Kuumbwa Jazz Center is proud to host this special event which consists of a six piece jazz band led by Dave Mihaly as they interpret the music he wrote to set seven very early and rarely-seen films preserved and presented by film collector George Russell. The members of the band are Dave Mihaly on guitar and marimba, Todd Grady on trumpet, David James on guitar, Bill Noertker on bass, Sanjay Pardanani on congas and cajon, and Annelise Zamula flute and saxophones. The films that will be screened at this special event are It’s A Gift, A Corner In Wheat, A Rarin’ Romeo, The Automatic Moving Company, Years To Come, The Crazy Ray, and The Land Beyond the Sunset.
