Los Angeles-based jazz trio
FREE Fillmore Jazz Fest Daytime Party in The Lounge 1pm-5pm!
From Los Angeles, CA: Doug Carter (piano) Blake White (bass) and Jacob Wendt (drums). The trio has a unique sound, one fused from the influential music of Oscar Peterson, Ahmad Jamal, and Herbie Hancock. The musicians play extensively throughout the Los Angeles area at venues including Steamers Jazz Café, Catalina’s Bar and Grill, and The Jazz Bakery. The group’s first CD, Here Comes Everybody, will be released in March 2013 with a Bay Area tour from April 1st through 10th. Venues include Zingari Ristorante, Yoshi’s SF, Sheba Piano Lounge, A Drummer’s Tradition, 608 55th Street-Oakland, Music Exchange, and Rasselas Jazz.

Wrapped in Plastic, located in San Francisco, CA, provides the freshest sounds of old and new jazz to the bay area.
In addition to an ever-expanding repertoire of jazz originals, the group reinterprets old favorites and lesser-known gems in new and modern ways - passing from Miles Davis to the music of David Lynch's films.
