Janice M. Beard a.k.a. Jazzi Jan is a local Jazz vocalist, born and reared in Peoria, Illinois, claims the Bay Area is as her home since residing here for over 40 years. As a young adult she has performed in many local night spots singing R&B. Jan's inspiration to sing Jazz, came from listening to the works of several Jazz greats such as Sarah Vaughn,Dinah Washington, Ella Fitzgerald and Billy Holiday.
