Description
"Jóvenes y el son" is our matinee foklórico dance concert featuring youth ensemble Los Lupeños Juvenil with special guests Mariachi Los Toritos.Los Lupeños Juvenil was formalized in July, 2015 after existing under our Academy for many sessions. Dancers in this company range from 10 to 15 years old. They have a unique opportunity to explore Mexican folk dance in a professional environment with special mentoring that prepares them to enter the main Performing Company someday. Los Lupeños Juvenil is directed by Samuel Cortez.
Mariachi Los Toritos, composed of musicians ages 9 to 16 from the local Mariachi Academy of Music, is directed by Jorge Rodríguez. These musicians call Gilroy, Morgan Hill, San José and Santa Clara their home. They work hard to be a positive impact to other young musicians that aspire to share their culture.
