Description
There's multicultural, and then there's multicultural. Born of Samoan descent, J Boog grew up in Compton and lives in Hawaii. Remarkably, influences from all of those places and more can be heard in his music, which combines reggae with the even breezier island sound, though he's clearly falling more and more under the spell of Jamaica. He's also under the spell of the Bay Area lately, spending a lot of time in NorCal and becoming almost a part of the local community around here. Appropriately then, he performs this show as a benefit for one of our community's worthiest causes: Second Harvest Food Bank.
