REACH BC Dance Company premieres It's About Love. Raphaël Boumaīa and Heather Cooper, CO-creators of REACH, are using the strength of classical American modern dance with a contemporary sensibility. While living and breathing in the today, REACH is dance in the humanistic tradition, using the language of movement to speak about all of us as people.In It's About Love, Mr. Boumaīla and Ms. Cooper explore the many aspects of love. In Belle Nuit, they reveal the ecstasy of falling in love. In Broken Wing, they remind us that sometimes when love is broken, hope can only be restored by a child's hand.
This premiere also includes guest choreography by Mark Foehringer and a guest performance by renowned opera singer Layna Chianakas
