Description
Sunday, April 3 – Founded in 2008, the Israeli Chamber Project is based both in Israel and New York and was created as a means for its members to give something back to the community where they began their musical education. Comprising strings, winds, harp and piano, the ICP was winner of the 2011 Israeli Ministry of Culture Outstanding Ensemble award for its passionate musicianship, creative programming, and commitment to educational outreach. ICP will perform Saint-Saëns, Martinů, Mozart and Brahms, and a work by Israeli composer Zohar Sharon, past recipient of the Israeli Prime Minister’s Composer of the Year award.There will be a public master class at 5 pm with Young Chamber Musicians, followed by a pre-concert talk by musicologist Kai Christiansen at 6 pm. Complimentary Meet-the-Artists Reception follows every concert.

Saint-Saëns: Fantaisie in A Major, Op. 124, for Harp and Violin
Zohar Sharon: The Ice Palace for clarinet, piano, harp, and string Martinů: Chamber Music No. 1, H. 376
Mozart/André: Clarinet Quartet in B-flat Major, K 317d (arr. of Violin Sonata K. 378)
Brahms: Piano Trio No. 3 in C minor, Op. 101
