First published in 1980, Island has been updated and expanded to include a new historical introduction, 150 poems in Chinese and English translation, 20 full oral histories, and dozens of new photographs.Join us for an afternoon of book discussion, poetry reading, and storytelling by historian Judy Yung, poet and playwright Genny Lim, and SFSU Professor Marlon Hom. A book sale and signing follows the event.
