This workshop is an introduction to the art and practice of “ShamanicCounseling” offered by its originator, Leslie Gray, PhD. After learning from
traditional shamans as well as earning a doctorate in psychology, Leslie
began to offer a method of shamanic healing adapted to modern
urban circumstances which she named “shamanic counseling” in 1982.
In this day-long introduction she will provide a history/overview of
shamanic counseling (SC) as well as demonstrations, case studies and
experiential exercises to enable participants to decide whether and/or how
SC might be used for their own personal development or for enhancing the
well-being of individuals or groups. This workshop is suitable for persons
wanting to learn about a method of personal empowerment or for
professionals wanting to enhance and expand their current practices
