Description
Celebrating its 40th anniversary, San Francisco Taiko Dojo brings a visual, audio, and visceral performance like no other. Taiko is a dynamic combination of traditional and contemporary rhythms, dance, and martial arts.In memory of Grand Master Daihachi Oguchi.
The performance features Grand Master Seiichi Tanaka, the pioneer of Japanese Taiko in North America, and his SF Taiko Dojo.
Special Guests include Grand Master Seido Kobayashi & O Edo Sukeroku Taiko, World Renowned Artist Kitaro (Sunday only), Grammy Award Producer Narada Michael Walden (Saturday only), Tsuzumi Master Saburo Mochizuki, Tsuzumi Master Kiyonari Tosha, Taiko Master Megumu Nishino, Shasta Taiko, Taiko Master Kenny Endo, Burlington Taiko, Fubuki Daiko, Sacramento Taiko Dan, Fushu Daiko, Ringtaro Tateishi, with Native American Leader Dennis Banks.
