Description

Join the JCCSF and the Jewish Community Relations Council and Congregation Emanu-El for a multicultural seder honoring the Emancipation Proclamation decree by President Abraham Lincoln that “all persons held as slaves within any State or designated part of a State, the people whereof shall then be in rebellion against the United States, shall be then, thenceforward, and forever free.”

Passover recalls a time when the Jewish people went from slavery to freedom. During this seder we celebrate the historic fight for freedom and commit again to the fight that remains – freedom for all – with spirited song, storytelling and a delicious kosher meal. All are welcome.
