Description

Insect Pollinators with Jeffrey Caldwell

Saturday, May 12, 10 am - 1 pm
Middlebrook Gardens/ELSEE, 76 Race Street, San Jose

Jeffrey Caldwell has a B.A. in Biology and has been giving lectures and writing articles about habitat gardening for 37 years. For the last few years, he has compiled much information about Californian plants as resources for butterflies and moths.

Jeffrey says, "I've had in mind creating gardens and landscapes that supply a complete life history habitat for them. It has been an eye-opening study and I'd like to share conclusions and tips helpful to those who enjoy supporting Lepidoptera and other flower-visiting insects on their grounds."

In this workshop, Jeffrey Caldwell imparts some of his wealth of information on insect pollinators -- bees, butterflies, and moths -- in the native garden.

The Workshop fee is $30. For members of the California Native Garden Foundation (CNGF), the cost is $25 and a 10% discount on any plant purchases. (Join CNGF at the workshop for $38 and save $10 on this class and 30% on workshops all year!)

Parking is available on Race Street, side streets, St. Leo's parking lot, and in the Food Basket parking lot on Garland.

RSVP at [email protected] with "Insect Pollinators" in the subject line. Payment can be made in advance through Paypal using the Donate button on the cngf.org website or at the event upon arrival. All proceeds benefit the California Native Garden Foundation and ELSEE.
