Description
These are intimate workshops limited to 6 adults per session - a mixture of pure play, spiritual presence and conscious awareness. They take place in Maya's personal art studio in San Francisco's Mission District. Everyone is an artist. Come see why.A note from Maya about the class:
"I like to switch mediums up. It keeps me fresh and edgy, consciously engaged with the creative process and in touch with a feeling of not knowing what I'm doing. Inks were an amazing teacher for me this way. And doing something as precise and solid as a children's book (I Know the River Loves Me) using inks taught me how to hold on and let go at the same time and let the force flow. I entered a practice of opening up to the wisdom and the experience of ink. Gorgeous and always, potentially out of control. We will engage with inks as teachers of self. How we handle our materials and traverse the creative process can teach us about who we are, what we focus on, how we limit or free our self. Some mediums show us ourselves faster and more explicitly than others. Ink is such a teacher. Come know self through ink." - Materials provided.
