For the second year in a row Independent Artist Week (September 6 – 12th 2009) is uniting the independent spirit that is ubiquitous throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. The success of last year’s IAW was a testament to the power of the Bay Area artist community and this year is no different.

This year we have a day to say “Thank You” to the independent artisans who have given so much to the world by way of dance, film, turntablism, journalism, events, fashion and many other immeasurable ways. In addition “Bring Your Own Art” BYOA featuring live performance art, the “Opportunity Day” featuring experts to answer the questions of independents, And our “Go Green” event are just a few of the very special events we have planned throughout the week.
