"In Remembrance Of" explores the stories of the women who joined the military during World War II. Recruiting women into the military was a big step on the journey for gender equality in this nation. What was it like for these young women who were in the first tremors of what would become an earthquake of social change? How did these times affect the status of women now? Mendana Productions hopes to inspire with the specific and personal stories of the women who believed so strongly that they wanted to volunteer for the military in that difficult time. "In Remembrance Of" captures the innocence and tenacity of these women, rage at racial injustice and at the use of the atomic bomb, and a few regrets at missed opportunities.More Info
