Description
Are you the kind of person who is going to die? According to Buddhism, there IS a way to end the cycle of death and rebirth. But how? In this series of classes, we will gain some familiarity with the death process in order to be more relaxed when the time of death comes and understand how an awareness of our own mortality can help us live a better life. To paraphrase the famous Tibetan Yogi Milarepa, 'I used to be afraid to die then I practiced the Buddhist path. Now, whenever death comes, I can greet it without the slightest fear'. We will also discuss important questions of what practices, prayers and mantras are beneficial for those dying and deceased as well as how to handle the body upon death. These classes will be taught by Venerable Losang Drimay who has been an ordained Buddhist nun since 1991. Venerable Drimay has been teaching Buddhism throughout the United States for over ten years.Charge is $10.00 per class but no one turned away due to lack of funds
