"I the Mighty is a chameleon. Beginning its unusual transformation in 2006 as a 2 piece acoustic act known widely throughout the bay as "breakpoint" and forming into a full on rock band in late 2008. Singer/songwriters Brent Walsh and Ian Pedigo, friends since elementary school, made a name for themselves playing venues like Bottom of the Hill, standing alone as the one act without plugs or pedals. Commanding audience attention through catchy and inventive song structure and a knack for epic melodies and story-telling. After recording a 5 song EP in 2 hours at Geffin studios in L.A. and with a push from industry heads, the effort to form a full band was set forth. By none other than fate - a drummer (Blake Dahlinger) coincidentally sent a myspace message out of the blue, and a friend/bassist/dealmaker (Chris Hinkley) was rejected a loan and unable to move away to college.
