On April 4th, Club Eight launches a hot new Gay Hip Hop dance event in San Francisco. HYP (pronounced “hype”) takes place every Saturday night, starting at 9PM, and will welcome a diverse crowd of gay and straight partygoers from all over the Bay Area. The promoters of HYP recognized that the SF gay scene is conspicuously missing a quality Hip Hop dance venue, hence HYP was born. The HYP experience mixes DJ’s from the gay and straight communities and infuses live performances from professional and amateur Hip Hop dance crews from around the Bay Area. The dance crews will appear on-stage without interrupting the dance flow of the crowd.The venue for HYP, Club Eight, is located on Folsom St, between 7th and 8th street, in the SOMA district. Club Eight features two dance floors on two levels, three bars, and an outdoor patio.EVERY Saturday HYP will deliver two different Hip Hop DJ’s on two levels, and live performances.
