A fun weekend event involving 200 artists at San Francisco's historic Hunters Point Shipyard Nov 3 and 4.The Open Studios at Hunters Point Shipyard caps off a month of open studio events throughout San Francisco. Nowhere else can you see the studios of 200 artists selling everything from paintings to photography to sculptures to prints to jewelry all in one place - with FREE parking no less! The annual event attracts over 7,000 visitors.
A live juried auction will be held on Sunday November 4th at 5pm with pieces selected by Maria Medua, Director of SFMOMA Artists Gallery, Joan McLoughlin of The McLoughlin Gallery, and Jack Fischer of the Jack Fischer Gallery. This "Art Parade" will have professional auctioneer Deric Torres from Clars Auction Gallery. It will be a fun, entertaining event where art is paraded through the halls.
If you are an artist or arts enthusiast, it's an exciting event and a good introduction to this art colony of over 200 artists who work in this historic location.
