Human Rights Film Festival at USF, March 31 – April 2, 2016What: The University of San Francisco (USF) will host its 14th annual Human Rights Film Festival, featuring advocacy and social justice films.
When: Thursday, March 31 – Saturday, April 2, 2016
Where: USF’s Presentation Theater, 2350 Turk Boulevard (at Masonic) in San Francisco CA 94117
Why: USF’s Human Rights Film Festival seeks to promote awareness and discussions of global human rights injustices through films from around the world. This year’s festival addresses a range of global and domestic issues, including: political repression, torture, genocide, killings and disappearances, refugees, migrations, environmental destruction, mining and indigenous women, LGBT rights, and gun violence. Several of these films are winners of prestigious awards, including The Look of Silence, a 2016 Academy Award Nominee for best documentary feature.
