Description
Music by Slayers Club & FriendsThis week, NightLife hosts the ultimate how-to workshop. We provide the skills, you figure out how to make ‘em pay the bills, or at least impress someone special. Find out how to detect a lie from micro-expression aficionado Dr. David Matsumoto, see Magic Curry Kart demonstrate how to make a killer curry, and learn how to identify plants with Academy botanist Tom Daniel. Put a few tricks up your sleeve courtesy of master magician Dan Chan, become an origami whiz with guidance from Bay Area Rapid Folders (BARF), and felt your own Woolbuddy. Plus, learn how to DJ with Urban Music Program, make the “raw essentials” of electronic music using Ableton Push and other tools with Christopher Willits; how to play a modular synthesizer from the experts at i/o; and how to be a filmmaker with Disposable Film Fest. In the planetarium, discover how to navigate the night skies at 6:30, followed by two showings of Earthquake.
