Welcome to a very special edition of 'meowspitality' edition hosted by Amanda Kershaw and Sandrita Miel (Pandrita) & Demitria Ruiz (Tech Dolphin). This is a Pisces extravaganza!! Celebrating the birthdays of Estrella, Luiza, Luke, Susan & Brie!! Kitty ears, tails and whiskers highly encouraged!!

We welcome the very great and loved MOSSMOSS of AYLI and the quickly up and coming Tech Dolphin crew out of San Jose which has been making big waves lately. Mattie Bowen, aka Mossmoss is one of of our favorite local talents who has opened up for almost every top notch act that has ever come through San Francisco.. I recently read an article about the 'art of the opening dj' and it basically goes over why this person in many ways has a harder job than the headliner because they set the mood.. Well Mattie is not only the master of playing before the headliner but he is also the master of playing after the headliner and during the peak hours.. Mossmoss is skillful at keepin the party going and going and going.. We are extremely extremely happy to give him the red carpet to our dance floor and give him the opportunity to ROCK our house down to the ground at Icon lounge..

Peep Mossmoss' bio:

Mossmoss (aka Mattie Bowen) is a Scottish born dj and producer with an intense passion for deep dance music. His love for music and desire to live a joyful and productive life fuels his passion for art and creativity. An artist by nature and a listener by choice, his wandering sets often paint landscapes of light and dark patterns, textures, and melancholy melody. Heavily influenced by a long stint in the Mid West in proximity to Detroit and Chicago, he brings that influence to the Bay Area and draws on The City and its colorful nightlife for constant immersive inspiration.

Mossmoss was the first As You Like It resident. His range can be credited with the shape of most line-ups. You can catch him opening the night, closing the night, peak-hour, and off-peak. Basically, Mossmoss makes it happen.

MOZO aka Steven Mosely's bio:
Coming into the scene in 2004, Steven quickly started making a name for himself at local house parties around the south bay with his new pal Matheus from Rio, Brazil. The two of them had purchased a mixer and some speakers and started to play parties, eventually being booked all weekend. After a year of doing that, Steven decided he wanted to start making his own beats, and got Reason4 and Ableton, and started meeting up with Ardalan to do collaborations. Things were more on the chill side, until 2008 when things started to take shape. The Tech Dolphin Crew was starting to form with Sepehr, Moon, Ardalan, Chris, and Michael.
Around the same time The first Campout was held and was the start of Wake&Bake Campout which is now in its 3rd year, is bringing over 250 people. Nowadays you can catch Steve during the weekdays working on tracks, mixes and collaborations with the Tech Dolphins along with planning and executing W&B Campout plans, and almost every weekend in SF at one of the many clubs.
