The premiere of a new work, a rare solo performance by Hope Mohr and the Bay Area debut of New York-based choreographer/performer Dušan Týnek’s company will headline the fifth San Francisco home season of Hope Mohr Dance Thursday-Saturday, March 22-24, 2012 at Z Space in San Francisco.Hope Mohr Dance (HMD) is a bold and visionary company that both creates original work and presents other contemporary choreographers, giving Bay Area audiences the opportunity to see new dance in a regional and national context. The March program features the premiere of Hope Mohr’s "Reluctant Light", with music composed and performed live by cellist Helen Money, set by Zakary Zide and lighting by David Szlasa. The work for six dancers explores what it means to surrender.
