Description
Himawari (sunflower) is a collaboration ten years in the making between San Jose Taiko and Hanayui, in which the two groups explore their common roots and Japanese ancestry through dance and music. SJT hails from the local Japanese American community, while Hanayui comes from Kodo Village on Japan's Sado Island.The program debuted in Hawaii in 2002. This new version features several pieces from the original, plus new arrangements from both SJT and Hanayui.
Tickets are $25 for adults and $20 for students and seniors.
Call the box office by 5 pm on February 10 to receive a $5 discount on each ticket.
