Description
42nd Street Moon PresentsHIGH SPIRITS (1964)
Book, Music and Lyrics by Hugh Martin and Timothy Gray
Based on the play "Blithe Spirit" by Noel Coward
Sticking closely to Coward's original text, this 1964 gem tells the tale of Charles and Ruth Condomine, who are being haunted by the mischievous spirit of Charles' ex-wife, Elvira. Thank goodness for Madame Arcati, the eccentric local medium, who is more than adept at handling all kinds of crises from the spirit world.
This Tony-nominated show delighted Noel Coward (who directed the Broadway show) and it sings and swings with clever melodies including, "Home Sweet Heaven," "I Know Your Heart by Heart," "The Bicycle Song" and "You'd Better Love Me."
Starring: Megan Cavanagh, Dyan McBride, Michael Patrick Gaffney, Maureen McVerry, Rudy Guerrero, Kathleen Dederian, Rena Wilson, Carly Ozard, Justin Torres, Giana DeGeiso, Derek Travis Collard
