On Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at 7:30 PM, at Room 12 of the Hillview Community Center, 97 Hillview Avenue, Los Altos, the De Anza Chapter of the American Rhododendron Society will feature a program titled “Rhododendrons 101”, in which you will learn how to care for your rhododendrons, and how to combat challenges. Many of the members of the De Anza Chapter have been growing rhododendrons for many years and would like to share their knowledge. As part of the program, members will be bringing flowers of their plants, so that people can see the wide range of rhododendron flowers. As part of the program, Mike McCullough, who has over thirty Maddenii Series rhododendrons growing in containers will tell how this series of rhododendrons is perfect for the small garden or patio garden. Maddenies, some of which have fragrant flowers, can be grown in 15 gallon containers for over twenty years.
