Fall is here, and it’s bursting at the seams with freshly harvested squash, apples, and wine grapes. Taste your way through the bounty with seasonal samples from Earl’s Organic Produce, and a wine hall featuring Coppola, Bonny Doon, Hobo Wines and other local winemakers.Bonny Doon Vineyards founder Randall Grahm will expound upon the virtues of biodynamic winemaking, and Crushpad will host a workshop on winemaking and grape harvesting. Rose Johnson, founder of Apothocurious and cofounder of the Urban Eating League, will demonstrate how to take the fruits of the harvest season and preserve them for the coming winter. At the Project Lab, find Academy botanist Tom Daniels and mine his knowledge of the flora of San Francisco.
Then catch a live performance by The B-Star Trio, a local country band stirring up a hearty stew of honky tonk and hillbilly hits for your listening and dancing pleasure. DJ Tanoa will spin old-timey country and bluegrass all night long.
