Description
A large harvest event where we prepare examples of the of the numerous types of food we are growing, harvest foods from the garden and cook those as well, and learn about the traditions of harvest festivals, the fall equinox and how we celebrate these old holidays still today. We would use this event to discuss both harvest / thanksgiving traditions globally and to create awareness of programs like America's Second Harvest, where any surplus produce from the Learning Garden could be donated to local food banks.More Info
