Description

Why let cucumbers have all the fun? Urban Kitchen's favorite fermentation guru, Todd Champagne of Happy Girl Kitchen, will introduce the class to the secrets to making crispy sauerkraut and kimchi with a kick. Both skills utilize cheap seasonal veggies that pack a serious probiotic punch.

This class will cover the basics of pH and fermentation safety, but it will also involve a lot of hands on work, from chopping to mixing to spicing (and sampling, of course!). Participants will leave with recipes, the kraut and kimchi made in class, and supplies to continue the fermentation fun at home.
