Description
Based on the late 1980s movie directed from John Waters turned Broadway musical in 2002 comes Peninsula Youth Theaters' newest production of Hairspray.The musical follows Tracy Turnblad, a plus size beauty whose dream is to be on the The Corny Collins Show and dance and to one day be with teen heart-throb Link Larkin. When she does make it onto the show, she opens up the opportunity to make The Corny Collins show to be the first race integrated TV show. However, Velma Von Tussle, the producer, does not want that to ever happen and does her best to prevent it from happening while her daughter Amber, does her best to prevent her boyfriend Link from falling for Tracy.
