Post-Chromodal Out! is the culmination of a system he refers to as “chromodality,” which he created to integrate Persian musical tones with Western tones. The result is a musical, cultural blend that breaks boundaries and creates new musical worlds. Joining Modizadeh on this journey is pianist Vijay Iyer, who is somewhat of a renaissance man in the jazz world, winning in five categories of DownBeat’s 2012 Annual Critics Poll including Jazz Artist of the Year, top Pianist and Rising Star Composer.
