Haçeteria is proud to present the live debut of MegaLo, a rapidly rising local producer who has been churning out productions of mega proportions.

MegaLo has emerged as the house, techno, and disco alter ego of dj Maracle, who is known for his hip hop and electro fused dj sets. As a member of the sprawling Party FX collective, MegaLo has contributed to and learned from the likes of dancefloor champions (and Haçeteria alumni) Bobby Browser and Alexis Blair Penney.

Maurie “MegaLo” Pauline’s slew of recent youtube videos have been gathering a following around the internet, generating much anticipation for his yet-to-be released, highly anticipated original tracks. Not only have the videos become an overnight off-kilter meme sensation, these original retro-tinged house and techno dance track preview clips only demonstrate the tip of the iceberg for what is to come from this rising soon-to-be mega producer.

A soothsayer of raving rhythms, Megalo will no doubt take you higher, way up into the stratosphere. Using an uncompromising combination of beats, vocal stylings and poses, he is sure to shake the club to the ground. When asked about his ideas on the future of society and sound his answer was as straightforward as it was thought-provoking: “Bass that Bass!”

Haçeteria is a fog and laser fueled monthly dance night organized by DJs Nihar, Tristes Tropiques, Jason P and Smac, who play the steamiest electronic dance music vinyl slabs, mostly from the era spanning 1986-1993, including Chicago House, Acid, Detroit Techno, Classic Rave, New Beat, Electronic Body Music, Hip-House and more. Club Haçeteria is also dedicated to highlighting a diverse array of live electronic dance musicians that are breaking new ground while moving bodies on the dance floor. Haçeteria takes place every first Saturday at the Deco Lounge at Larkin and Turk.
