North Star Academy is proud to present the timeless musical comedy Guys and Dolls Jr. Considered one of Broadway’s most hilarious shows, Guys and Dolls has been described as one of the best musicals ever written for American theater, winning a Best Musical Comedy Award with its 1951 production debut. Guys and Dolls tells the tale of Nathan Detroit, the organizer of the oldest established permanent floating crap game in New York, who bets fellow gambler Sky Masterson that he can’t make the next girl he sees fall in love with him. That “next girl” is Miss Sarah Brown, a pure-at-heart Salvation Army-type reformer. Meanwhile, Nathan is having trouble with his own girlfriend, Adelaide, who after 14 years of dating is ready for marriage. Featuring songs such as “Luck be a Lady” and “Sit Down You’re Rockin’ the Boat,” this show is the perfect balance of story, dance, music, and romance.Guys and Dolls will be performed by North Star Academy from February 28th – March 2nd at 7:00pm and Sunday March 3rd at 1:00pm. Performances will take place at the McKinley Auditorium located at 400 Duane St. in Redwood City. Tickets are Thursday, February 28 and Sunday, March 3rd: $8 youth/seniors, $12 adults online/$14 adults at the door. Friday, March 1st and Saturday, March 2nd: $12 general admission/ $14 at the door and may be purchased at http://www.northstartix.com or at the door, 30 minutes prior to curtain.
