Description
In this recent body of work, Williams uses imagery from scientific illustrations of the 18th and 19th centuries as inspiration for his paintings and drawings. Documents of that type were once acknowledged as fact, but with further developments and discoveries in science, they are now known to be false."I'm interested in how these images have been incorporated into out body of knowledge and, equally important, how errors have been perpetuated and misinformation compounded."
