Come to SPD to celebrate the last day of Poetry Month with the Grand Opening of the SPD Reading Room, where guest poets will read quietly to themselves for your pleasure from 11AM - 8PM. Inspired by the great Reading Room installation currently going on at the Berkeley Art Museum, of which SPD is a sponsor, and inspired by, well, reading!, we have created a cozy spot just for you to peruse SPD books whenever you visit. On April 30th 18 (or more) poets will be reading silently to themselves for 30-minute intervals. Come watch them read, sit and read with them, chat, and drink tea! Get your free book of poetry!
