Description
The Grand Choir Concert (Combined Choir Concert), with the participation of more than 200 singers, is part of the XVI West Coast Latvian Song Festival in Silicon Valley. Latvian culture is known for its centuries old choral singing tradition, festivals in which thousands of singers sing in chorus. To commemorate the achievements of the Latvian choral tradition, the World Choir Games took place in Latvia on 2014.The San Jose concert will feature the compositions of modern and classical Latvian composers, as well as Latvian folk songs, with orchestral and solo accompaniment. The Choir singers will be dressed in unique, authentic Latvian folk costumes.
