Description

San Francisco has a diverse disco scene that often crosses over but not often enough! The goal of Go BANG! is to bring the crews and their devoted dancers together in a mixed, diverse, exciting environment, with a nod to the diversity and freedom of the 70's/80's San Francisco/New York/Chicago disco nightlife!

Disco freaks, art school boys & girls, drag queens & kings, boogie-heads, fierce dancers, flashy dressers, sexy girls, hot boys, DJs, dancers, photographers, artists, fashionistas; gay/straight/bi/tri/whateva! Bring your flashiest, trashiest, classiest, sexiest, craziest style; but bring an open mind, big smile, and shoes that will allow you to dance from opening to last call! We will start with fire and end with fire!

Taking inspiration from the classic Dinosaur L. song, "Go BANG!": http://soundcloud.com/synthetigers/dinosaur-l-go-bang-the
"I wanna see all my friends at once
I'll do anything to get a chance to
Goooo BANG!"

**SPECIAL GUEST :: TIM ZAWADA (Chicago) Returns to Go BANG! http://soundcloud.com/timzawada
Tim Zawada is a Chicago based DJ, Producer, and record collector specializing in all things funky. His style incorporates elements of New Wave, Synth and Electro Boogie and all things funky - whether it be House and Disco or Soul and Rock & Roll.

He debuted in San Francisco at Go BANG! March 2011 and quickly won the hearts of the entire Go BANG! Family of Dancers & DJs. He was instrumental in Go BANG!'s unforgettable Chicago mini-tour and continues to be the all-about-music, kindhearted, enthusiastic, and warm-spirited kind of DJ we appreciate!

Since his last appearance at Go BANG! he has released 8 editions of his popular "TUGBOAT EDITS" series featuring his gussied up versions of everything from the B-52s and the Smiths, Q-Tip & Janet Jackson and a slew of underground and hard to find Boogie rarities. In the last year, crowds in the midwest have seen him share the decks with scene heavyweights such as Eddie C, Craig Smith and the Junior Boys as well as hold down opening slots for Worldwide Chicago House legends Farley Jackmaster Funk, Paul Johnson and Gene Hunt. For a taste of what's to come visit his soundcloud page to hear a wide assortment of Edits and Remixes as well as some of his latest mixes including "Kraftwerked (Tribute Mix)", "Foundation Mix - House Music vs Original Disco Samples" and "Unreleased Tugboat Edits 2011". http://soundcloud.com/timzawada
