Description
It all began March 12, 1912 with 1 woman, 17 girls and a dream. A century later, there are 2.3 million Girl Scouts nationwide who are building their courage, confidence and character to make the world a better place.Join the Girl Scouts Northern California on the red carpet at the “Forever Green” Gala- a very special evening to commemorate 100 years of girl scouting and the flagship celebration to kick-off a series of events honoring Northern California’s Top 100 Women “Greening” the Future throughout 2012.
Set beneath the iconic clock tower and vaulted ceilings of one of the city’s most beloved spaces, the event at the SF Ferry Building features a reception, a sustainable and locally sourced dinner menu from award-winning caterer Paula LeDuc and special awards ceremony honoring women who have made a significant impact to the environment, economy, or community in Northern California. The list of honorees includes the region’s top 100 women movers and shakers, corporate, business, civic and community leaders, journalists, authors, and notable guests.
