Ghirardelli Square celebrates Earth Day with – Ghirardelli Goes Green – an annual free event featuring food, live music, green-themed activities, including a visit from the “Bag Monster.” Vendors will be present to share information with attendees on how to green their lives.Ghirardelli Goes Green offers a great family-friendly introduction on how to be green:
- Meet the “Bag Monster” – Kids can meet the event’s plastic bag-clad educational mascot – “Bag Monster” costume courtesy of Chico Bags
- “G” goes Green – The “G” in Ghirardelli Square’s famous sign will be lit green with LED lamps donated by Ford Light, Inc. in celebration of Earth Day
- Chef demonstration and sustainable cooking class
- Eye-opening presentations by local vendors sharing fun facts on how to be green
- Live music from local artists
