Explore five private gardens in Atherton and Palo Alto open to the public for self-guided tours as part of the Garden Conservancy’s national Open Days program.Highlights include an elegant lawn-free garden with sculpture collection; an artist’s two-acre garden featuring palm collection; a plant collector’s inviting garden with focus on seasonal color, texture and fragrance; a prolific and beautiful edible garden designed for year-round harvest; and a garden reflective of our nation’s history inspired by Colonial Williamsburg. No reservations required; rain or shine.
Admission is $7 per garden; children 12 & under free. Discount ticket booklets available for purchase at the Gamble Garden on May 7 from 9:30am-12pm and are also available online in advance; tickets never expire and can be used for all Open Days nationwide.
