Gallery Lulo opened in Healdsburg, California in May 2009, a collaborative venture between Anne-Kathrine Schjerbeck and local artist, Karen Gilbert.

Karen Gilbert’s work as an artist is critically acclaimed and has been published internationally in books and periodicals, shown in galleries and museums in the United States and Europe, and acquired for multiple permanent collections. Gallery LuLo is able to offer a unique influx of Karen`s work directly from her studio, as well as her work as part of the collaborative team behind local glass design company, SkLO.

Anne-Kathrine Schjerbeck, a native of Denmark, holds a Masters in Literature from the University of Copenhagen. She has extensive work experience in the world of art in both Europe and the United States. She is in charge of the daily operations and planning of the gallery. Her Danish heritage and time in the cultures of the world give her a trained and intelligent eye when scouting and selecting work for Gallery LuLo.

Gallery LuLo is interested in experimentation and transformation and the importance of viewing art as an ever-changing reflection of modern culture. The mission of Gallery LuLo is to feature compelling work from the worlds of jewelry, art, and design, carefully presented in a modern exhibition space where rotating shows and constant new work means that each visit is a unique experience.
